AW HELL NAW I just want to know GUY

  • Alien Jesus

I see I voted for the wrong year in film and television. Oh well DRIVE and BB are fine.

  • Gameological Society Commenter

This must be some sort of mistake. It says that the 2011 GOTY winner is Portal 2 when I thought we all agreed that Bastion was the only choice for the intelligent gamer. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Democracy simply doesn’t work.

I suspect that the entities that comprise your gestalt entity might have had a more unambiguous support for Binding of Isaac in this particular competition. That game resulted in so very much praise and chatter in Gameological “What Are You Playing This Weekend” features.

      • Gameological Society Commenter

Binding of Isaac shockingly didn’t make it through the nomination process. This was what made me recognize this entire endeavor as the sham that it is. After this devastating turn of events, I/we threw my/our support behind the gloriousness of Bastion which I’m on to New Game ++ and am thorougly enjoying. The story is magnificent, even if it pales into insignificance when compared to the dense plotting of Binding of Isaac.

        • GaryX

I look forward to your thoughts on best Game/Game music of the year.

          • http://www.gildedgreen.com/ Girard

I am worried about Hotline Miami’s performance on the music front, based on your trepidation during the tallying process…

    • double_hawk

Don’t blame me, I voted for Batman

  • Mudderway

I was hoping for skyrim just because I don’t think I’ve ever sunk such a large amount of time into one game and still am nowhere close to actually finishing the damn thing. And through all the mods (playing with over 200 right now) the game can change pretty drastically. I really doubt i will be finished with skyrim for a long long time.

  • DrFlimFlam

I was only on the winning side once, with Drive. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the rollout.

I love El Camino, but really? Over The Roots’s fantastic album?

Same thing with Drive. I love it, but really? Over Tree Of Life, Hugo and Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy?

Very good winners, but kinda predictable.

    • Jean-Luc Lemur

Agreed 100% (I voted for Undun and Tinker Tailor, if it’s any consolation)

      • http://www.facebook.com/renato.m.ferreira Renato Miranda

At least Breaking Bad won! (although that’s predictable too, as awesome as it is)

        • HighlyFunctioningTimTebow

          What’s this L0uie show?

          • http://www.facebook.com/renato.m.ferreira Renato Miranda

I voted for Louie, but I’m happy with Breaking Bad as well.

          • WaxTom

            L0uie L0uie L0uie L0uiiiiiii!

    • Babs

I know! Why did no one else vote for Destroyer’s Kaputt, the greatest album of the last decade??

  • zebbart

Two of my votes won and I’m pretty surprised the other two, Bastion and Undun, did not. Considering Undun could have been 2011’s album of the year proper if it weren’t released so late, its win here should have been perfunctory. (Which I’m sure is just what they were going for – “Listen to Undun, the new album from the Roots. Sure to be 2012’s perfunctory 2011 album of the year.”) I have yet to get into Portal though, so maybe it will be my 2013 2011 game of the year.

  • alienlanes

Warrior and Source Code mentioned here, by me.

  • Lovingtheday

Drive? Seriously? That movie luke-warm at best. It was barely even a movie. Albert Brooks as a gangster, yeah, that’s believable. Just because Brian Cranston is in something doesn’t mean it’s good.

  • http://nevermindpopfilm.blogspot.com/ Colin “Fitz” Biggs

Both deserving winners that were ignored last season.
